im so pleased with how this turned out in the end-my felt skull necklace and ring set. how come when you add a flower to something scary it becomes kind of cute!!! cant wait to wear it.....

here is a piccie of my latest stash from usa from the prima "mommy and me"range featuring lots of cute owls, rabbits and tortoises. i dont know whether to use them or just look at them.

i have been feeling really rough with swine flu and unable to go out-hence the crafting splurge. my hubby and maddie came back from shopping with a nice surprise though, which maddie shouted out "mommy we have bought you some flowers". they certainly did the trick of cheering me up.

i have been busy making more scotty dogs-a keyring and a bag charm.

Sunday, 19 July 2009

Here are a few piccies of what i have been making over the last couple of days-inspiration has come from the net so decided to have a go myself. the rag dog was made as a large version to start then i wanted a keycharm version for my craft bag. the scotty dog pattern was taken from www.allsorts.typepad.com and i have made several small ones. Maddie had to have her own made too. To help with the boredom of the rain,we all made peg dollies this morning, even daddy had a go at making a pirate. maddie made a butterfly. back off now to finish another scotty dog!!!!

recycling heaven

hi, im loving the recycling "thing" at the mo and have found a good way of re-using bettys food jars,by storing my buttons in them. maddie and i spent a good few hours sorting the buttons into colours plus it was a good maths lesson for maddie too.

craft day with Nina

i have had a super day with Nina scrapping for 7 hours constantly and eating a fantastic buffet too. i managed to complete 3 pages and plan a 4th. i have also been set a challenge to alter a small wooden box bought for me by Nina. i in turn challenged her to create a blog page!! here are the piccies of my layouts and our very tasty choc treat too....

crafting outside

maddie and i were bored outside the other night and it was too warm to craft inside so we drew pictures on the slabs with chalk. maddie enjoyed seeing the pictures appear and daddy showed her how to blend the colours together-i think it was just an excuse to join in!! the activity kept us quiet for a good hour or so...
